Unlock the creative potential of etching on silver and copper in this immersive one-day workshop. You will learn a diverse range of techniques to create beautifully etched surfaces, from simple hand-drawn designs and resists to advanced photo etching using heat transfer paper.

By the end of the day, you'll leave with a collection of intricate samples that can be transformed into stunning jewelry or metalwork, all featuring unique, textured surfaces. This technique is perfect for adding depth, detail, and an unconventional texture to your metal pieces.

Throughout the day, you will experiment with ferric nitrate and ferric chloride solutions, gaining hands-on experience with different depths and textures in your etching process. After mastering these techniques, you’ll have the afternoon to refine and work on your chosen pieces, allowing you to fully explore the possibilities of etching metal.

You’ll also have the opportunity to send your own photos, letters, or personal images to your instructor in advance, to be etched during the workshop. Images should be high-contrast, black and white.
